One of my most elusive passions, is playing the game of golf. I have struggled and endured many embarrassing and heart warming "I feel dynamic" moments. For most of us it's just a game, so here are some light hearted quotes from people we all know.

I'll be adding quotes over the next several months, so visit often and enjoy!

"GREATEST GOLF QUOTES"

The art of concentration.

"In large part, success at the game of golf is based on your ability to develop consistency. This involves both mental consistency (your ability to focus), as well as gross and fine muscle motor consistency (your swing and follow through).

Success at golf involves the ability to narrow your focus and shut out a multitude of distractions.

There are three ways to play golf:

by the round,

by the hole,

and by the stroke.

You will not make a significant improvement in your game until the purity of the stroke means more to you than the score for the hole or the score for the entire round."

A poem for your reading pleasure.

Golf (Author unknown)

In my hand I hold a ball,
White and dimpled, rather small.
Oh, how bland it does appear
This harmless looking little sphere.

By it's size I could not guess
the awesome strength it does possess;
But since I fell beneath it's spell
I've wandered through the fires of hell.

My life has not been quite the same
Since I chose to play this game.
It rules my mind for hours on end .
A fortune it has made me spend.

It has made me curse and cry
I hate myself and want to die
It promises a thing called par
If I can hit it straight and far

To master such a tiny ball
Should not be very hard at all
But my desires the ball refuses
and does exactly as it chooses

It hooks and slices - dribbles - dies
Or disappears before my eyes
Often it will have a whim
To hit a tree or take a swim

With miles of grass on which to land
It finds a tiny patch of sand
Then has me offering up my soul
if it will just drop in the hole.

It's made me whimper like a pup,
and swear that I will give it up
and take to drink to ease my sorrow,
but the ball knows I'll be back tomorrow.
