KING MECHANICAL SPECIALTY’S CALIBRATION LAB RECEIVES A2LA ACCREDIATION

King Mechanical Specialty’s calibration laboratory has been accredited to ISO/IEC 17025:2005 and ANSI/NCSL Z540-1-1994, with accreditation through the American Association for Laboratory Accreditation (A2LA).

Fulfillment of the requirements of ISO/IEC 17025:2005 means that King Mechanical Specialty’s laboratory meets both the technical competence requirements and management system requirements necessary for consistently delivering technically valid test results and calibrations. The management system requirements of ISO/IEC 17025:2005 meet the principles of ISO 9001:2008's quality management system requirements.

In addition to A2LA-accredited calibrations, the company’s instrument lab can perform calibrations and certifications to NIST standards.

Founded in 1960, King Mechanical Specialty is a multi-faceted company. It is a distributor of industrial process control equipment, such as valves, actuators, pressure gauges, regulators, switches and temperature instruments. The company’s services include valve automation, as well as repair and rebuilding of valves, actuators and other controls. An in-house machine shop enables the company to design and fabricate customized mounting hardware for various applications.

King Mechanical Specialty offers a line of engineered products and systems for power plants, potable water and wastewater plants, fish hatcheries and manufacturing facilities, including chemical and pharmaceutical plants. These products include air-backwash systems, compressor skids, filter skids and natural gas regulating systems. The company’s Righton Instrument division designs and fabricates bubbler systems for level and differential pressure measurement. King Mechanical Specialty is also a UL 508A certified control panel shop.
